Milk Frother Whisk
Milk frothers are a simple way to add some interest to your coffee. They allow you to easily make frothed milk, which you can add to your brewed coffee to make a latte-like drink. They are fairly inexpensive and not very large, so they work well as a stocking stuffer. (If you’re loved one isn’t sure what to do with it, be sure to direct them over to our milk frothing tutorial).
A tablespoon or two of syrup in a cup of coffee brings a whole new flavour dimension. Syrups can be added straight to brewed coffee, or added to lattes or even hot chocolate. But their use isn’t limited to beverages, they are also great on ice cream, desserts, pancakes—the possibilities are endless. Coffee syrups come in an endless number of flavour options. There are the classics, like caramel, hazelnut, vanilla, cinnamon, or pumpkin pie, and the more adventurous flavours, like buttered rum, Italian eggnog, Irish cream, maple or gingerbread. There are also sugar-free versions of most flavours. The syrups come in a generous 750ml glass bottle, which are very presentable and yet surprisingly affordable. They make a great gift for the person who has everything.
Clear Glass Mugs
These unique double walled coffee mugs not only look classy, but they also help keep your coffee warm for longer. The double wall design also keeps the outside cool, so they are not too hot to hold. They can be used for other beverages beside coffee, and they will even help keep cool beverages cold for longer.
Book: I Love Coffee!
Susan Zimmer’s book I Love Coffee has 100 coffee recipes, from great ways to spruce up brewed coffee, to lattes, iced coffees, coffee martinis and more. Although many of the recipes call for espresso and steamed milk, Zimmer includes alternative instructions so that you can still make the recipes even if you don’t have an espresso machine. In addition to the recipes, the book also contains tips on different brewing methods, as well as information about how coffee is grown and produced. The book is well done and has lots of beautiful photos, making this an excellent Christmas gift.
Contigo AUTOSEAL Travel Mug
Contigo’s unique auto sealing travel mug is one of the best travel mugs around. The lid has a mechanism that automatically seals when not in immediate use. To take a drink, you have to depress the conveniently positioned button. Put the mug down and it seals itself up again. This design has two advantages, one it keeps your coffee hot for a crazy long time—up to five hours! Second, it is completely spill proof. You can fill it with coffee, then chuck it into your backpack, and it won’t spill a drop. This newly designed version has an easy to clean lid that is dishwasher proof, so it doesn’t get clogged up with nasty tasting residues. Contigo stands behind it’s product and it comes with a lifetime guarantee.
The AreoPress® Coffee Maker
For the frequent traveler on your shopping list, consider the AreoPress® coffee maker, a simple brewer that makes one cup of coffee at at time. Since it is compact and (being made of plastic), doesn’t break easily, the AreoPress is one of the most portable coffee makers around. But it is not just for travelers, it is an all around great coffee maker. With it’s non-conventional design, the grinds do not stay in contact with the water for long, thus AreoPress coffee has less acidity than some other brewing methods. The AreoPress makes an exceptional cup of coffee worthy of any connoisseur.
